Leesburg Partnership Bottled Water Labels Win State Contest

Making bottled water labels may not seem like much of an artistic endeavor. After all, most water drinkers may only give the label a mere passing glance – then they drink up.

But we at Azure Water take the art and the craft of developing bottled water labels seriously. It’s a matter of pride and creativity.

One of our clients – Leesburg Partnership, the city’s business development group – recently won second place in the Florida Festivals & Events Association’s annual contest.

The FFEA has hosted the Sunsational Awards as a way of recognizing and celebrating association members’ achievements in event marketing, programming, service and innovation.

Leesburg Partnership won state award for its promotional efforts for the 2016 Ultimate Bikefest Getaway Package. Under the partnership’s direction, the city hosts the annual bikefests, which typically attract hundreds of thousands of bikers, according to the partnership.

This campaign is designed to promote the 20^th anniversary of the annual bikefest, scheduled for April 22, 2016. The Azure Water labels for the bikefest include a QR scanning code to allow bikefest visitors to enter the partnership’s contest.

Bottled Water with Azure Labels Were Sold at Leesburg Bikefest

The bottled water with our labels were sold at this year’s bikefest in April and will remain available throughout the year. Azure Water produced 600 cases of water for the partnership and the event.

The Sunsational Awards judges efforts in three different budget levels and in 16 different categories. Members are allowed to submit one project per category per event. This year the association received a record of more than 400 submissions. More than 40 organizations and individuals representing more than 120 events statewide won. The partnership won in the $250,000 and above category.

The purpose of the association is to promote and strengthen the festival, event and fair industry in Florida. The association has more than 415 members and represents 750 events. Since 1994, the association has hosted more than 3,300 event organizations, vendors, speakers and sponsors at its annual convention and trade shows, according to the FFEA website.
