Azure Water Adds New Water Processing System

Azure Water Adds New Water Processing System

September 3, 2015

The population of this blue globe has climbed past 7 billion people. Nearly three-quarters of it is covered with water. The Earth contains 326 million cubic miles of water, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. If the Earth were the size of a basketball, the total water volume would be the size of a ping pong ball.

More than 97 percent of the planet’s water has salt and is unsuitable for drinking. According to livescience.com, you can live three minutes without air, maybe three days without water and three weeks is no one’s idea of fun.

But water – good, clean and pure – is life’s luscious elixir, and we at Azure Water view this precious commodity as key to healthy living. That’s why late last month we put a new water processing system on line, which handles spring and mineral water.

With two processing systems going, we’re able to double our production capacity to 10,000 cases per shift. Our current system processes purified water.

Systems Take Water through Intensive Purification Process

These systems take the liquid through an intricate process of purification so we’re able to deliver to you the purest, cleanest and most refreshing water on the planet.

During purification, water – taken from fresh springs – passes through a water softening system and several other intensive processes including ultraviolet, reverse osmosis and ozone treatments. Chlorine is removed, algae eliminated and alkaline balanced. The reason why our spring system delivers to you the healthiest water is because of its rigorous filtration process, which includes carbon filters, 0.2 micro filters, 0.1 micro filters and 0.05 micro filters. (The filtration system was built by Cortec Corp.)

Our combi-block machines include blow molding equipment, fillers and cappers, and are able to produce 14,800 bottles per hour.

We at Azure Water make bottled water molds for quantities of 8 oz., 12 oz., 16.9 oz. and 1 liter. We are able to blow any shape bottle to suit your specifications.

Finished bottles move along on a conveyor before being divided into two lines and fed into one of two high-speed pressure-sensitive labelers, each of which is capable of producing 300 labels a minutes. Near the end of the process, our machine shrink wraps (with no tray) a case of bottled water and can use printed film.

Built in 2014, Azure Water is a bottled water co-packer delivering numerous customers, including Dollar General®, Big Lot® and several cruise lines.

Azure Water’s facility uses state-of-the-art equipment that is able to generate 5,000 cases of water a day, including alkaline spring water and artesian mineral water. We can produce custom-bottle shapes, and fill, seal and label your bottles. If you’re looking to expand your business or have questions about co-packing or our capabilities, contact us.
